University Community Partnerships Program 2009 Requests Proposals for Grants. The Grants Program of the University Community Partnerships Program (UCPP) is pleased to announce the release of our 2009 Request for Proposals. Grant funding is offered to support projects that strengthen partnerships between the San Francisco Community and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
The University Community Partnerships Program is a new program dedicated
to improving the health of San Francisco communities through partnerships
between UCSF faculty, staff and students and community-based organizations.
Move ahead. Find support and guidance to strengthen existing
partnerships
Start something. Find the appropriate UCSF faculty or group
with whom to form a new partnership aimed at solving a health
challenge or meeting a need in your community
Get funding. Apply for grants to support partnerships
Find out if it’s working. Find assistance with designing
scientific evaluations of existing community programs

Students
Build programs. Get support and guidance to strengthen existing
partnerships
Learn to serve. Learn the basics of service learning and how
to produce results that will help communities help themselves
to become healthier.
Conduct community-based research. Find the appropriate community
based organization with which to form a new partnership and how
to be an equal partner in conducting community-based research
